senior media relations contact for ICBC. I will also contact Ernie
Dau, who is the head of the BC Coalition of Motorcyclists (BCCOM) which is an
advocacy group concerned with issues relating to motorcyclists.
The first sentence in your lead was intriguing, the second was confusing... I think you mean there is an increase, but the wording is confusing. The data sheet was good, although it wasn't a proper link... It sounds like the people you want to talk to will be knowledgeable for your story.

ReplyDeleteInteresting lead for your story and your data supports it. Looking forward to learning why car accident fatalities have been decreasing. It might be interesting to learn what the motorbike fatality numbers were at in 2013 to see if the 2012 number is just a blip.
I think the people you want to interview are very knowledgable and can help you get the answers you want in regards to motorcycle accidents. My neighbour was a Delta police officer but was struck by a car while he was riding his motorcycle on the job. He has never been able to work again so I know how serious these accidents are.
ReplyDeleteUnsure about your lead, are motorcycle deaths decreasing or increasing? Either way your choice of an expert is solid and the story is good. Data supports your findings and looks like an interesting article.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the first sentence in your lead is straightforward and clear, however, the second sentence is a bit confusing.Perhaps you could revise the second sentence to make it more clear for readers to understand? Other than that, I think that this is a great story idea and your data looks awesome and supports your topic.
